Rabbits are quite possibly our favorite livestock on our farm. Not only are they cute and cuddly, but their meat is also delicious, and they provide nutrient-rich garden fertilizer for our no-till garden, where rabbit manure is indeed gardener’s gold.
Why Silver Fox Rabbits?
This rabbit breed boasts not only a stunning fur coat but also a docile personality and impressive grow-out sizes, making them a great addition to any rabbitry. Our best breeders consistently yield litters of 6-12 kits and often average a remarkable live weight of 5 pounds (3 pounds processed) at just 12 weeks old, which is more than enough meat to make a meal for our family.
Breeding Excellence
Although our rabbits are unregistered, our two distinct breeding lines consistently deliver excellence in terms of size, temperament, and fur traits. As a result, we frequently have breeding pairs and trios available, providing others the opportunity to embark on their own rabbit-raising journey.
Variety in Fur Coats
While traditional black Silver Foxes are our most commonly available kit fur color, we take pride in occasionally welcoming chocolate Silver Foxes and even rarer lavender and blue variants into our rabbitry. If you have a specific color/gender combination, you are searching for, we would be happy to add your name to our waitlist so we can notify you if one is born.
2024 Availability Calendar
In 2024, our Silver Fox rabbits will be available for purchase from mid-March through December. Currently, we only sell our rabbits live (we do not sell table-ready meat).
